Plein Air: One day Workshop

Designed for adult beginners and intermediate students interested in plein air painting. In preparation for the annual Paint It!! Ellicott City plein air event, artist Amanda Milliner will be providing this workshop to review the necessary materials and techniques to work ‘en plein air’ . Materials not included. Supply list will be provided.

Blossoms of Hope, Plein Air demo: FREE

Time: Sat. April 20, from noon- 1 pm

Location: Centennial Lake Park (to the west of Rt. 108 Park entrance), Columbia, MD

Content: Amanda will be demonstrating the use of a notan drawing to compose the lights and darks of her subject and translate the design using an alla prima painting technique.

Springfest: Old Ellicott City, Plein Air demo: FREE

Time: Sat. April 20, from 3-5 pm

Location: Artists’ Gallery, 8197 Main Street Historic Ellicott City
